Blessed Alexandrina in Praça da Alegria

Today in Channel1 of RTP (Portuguese RadioTelevision), in the popular program Praça da Alegria (Joy Street), there was a great space for Blessed Alexandrina; even spoke the parish priest of Balasar.
Also in Povoa de Varzim, in a lecture on a contemporary archpriest of Alexandrina, who was born in Balasar - and that sure has been present to ecstasies in the final years of the 30 - she was mentioned.

To the ends of the world

The statistical information of the Official Website arouses the hope in us. So many who visit it, so many people that Blessed Alexandrina wants to lead to Jesus!
In the first 12 days of this month, in the list of top 10, remote Taiwan was included,
but it is good to read the list until 30. These are
facts, not desires, dreams.

Alexandrina in Póvoa de Varzim

This year will complete a century since the small Alexandrina - who was born in the place of Gresufes in Balasar – went for Póvoa de Varzim, where she attended school. The officials of the Official Website are proposing to the artists visitors to produce images that can illustrate the stories of the Autobiography where she tells the time passed in Póvoa, at the seaside.
We are preparing a page to help them.

A photograph of the old Parish Church of Balasar

Built in the years 1908 and 1909, the Parish Church of Balasar which the Blessed Alexandrina knew, where Fr Mariano Pinho preached and where Fr Leopoldino celebrated years and years was as we see in this photograph.
How different from today! Beautiful wood carvings!
Over the tabernacle, one sees the canopy provided by Alexandrina.
Fr Humberto delighted with the panel of the Good Shepherd.
